This is the scene in Coldharbour Lane tonight, as police forensic teams scour the street after a 22 year old man was stabbed to death in broad daylight.
Pictured above is a huge knife seen discarded in the middle of the road.
The incident took place directly in front of the Barrier Block (Southwyck House) around 4.45pm today.
We witnessed the desperate attempts by the medics to save the young man’s life, followed by desperate screams and cries filling the air when it became obvious that the victim had died.
Tonight, there is a solemn atmosphere in the area, as locals look on from behind the police lines.
The Met Police released a statement about the incident:
‘A crime scene is in place and officers remain on scene. Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information or footage should call police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting 5530/3OCT.
‘To remain 100% anonymous call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or visit Crimestoppers-uk.org.’
