Last night, Brixton rattled to the sound of a helicopter (or two) flying overhead for what seemed like an eternity.
Brixton residents are already well used to the sound of late night hovering choppers, but several people posted up on the helicopter watch thread to see what was going on. And now we have an answer.

A reader, JW, wrote in to ask if we knew what was going on, and included a photograph of the rescue:
I am sure you heard the helicopters and sirens last night. 3 Fire Engines, 2 Ambulances and 2 polices cars were parked on Lilford Road (with a helicopter overhead) from around 10pm – 12am.
There was a girl stuck in the tree in the small park there. No idea why – have you heard anything? I have a photo of the “rescue”.

Just leaving the SW9 area @MPSLewisham assisting ground units and @LondonFire deal with an incapacitated vulnerable missing person.
