Coldharbour Lane in Brixton seems to be turning into a real blackspot for car accidents with yesterday’s dramatic collision happening just 100 metres from another crash – and that car was only removed the same morning.
Yesterday’s incident happened 5.15pm, by the junction of Coldharbour Lane and Gresham Road.
An eye witness posted on the Brixton forum:
Nasty crash on Coldharbour, car got sideswiped and flipped, saw the little f*****r who caused it jumping out of the car and running whilst 2 people were stuck in the other car. Almost hit me on my bike, too…
Another eye witness told Brixton Buzz that they thought the guy in the silver car was being chased by people on motorbikes, although this hasn’t been confirmed.
Many did comment on how quickly bystanders rushed to aid the drivers, despite the petrol spilling out.
Despite the severity of the impact, we heard that there was no fatalities.
A fire engine and ambulance joined the police at the scene.
